Hate Networking? Stop Doing It Wrong.

It’s still all about who you know.

Networking can be a real pain in the ass. Standing around a fancy venue, making small talk with strangers, collecting more business cards is enough to make you never want to wear another “Hello! My Name Is” sticker ever again—unless you build your networking efforts around a sense of purpose and specific outcomes, that is.

The hardest part is often just getting up and going. You can make it easier on yourself by having a plan, being super selective in the events you attend, and focusing on meeting like-minded individuals—the more you can give, the more you’re likely to get out of your networking efforts. Remember what it’s all about.
