What Do YOU Love Most About Marketing?

For some, “it’s just marketing,” but for others, it’s a calling.

LinkedIn asked 10 marketing thought leaders what they love most about their jobs. Their answers might surprise you. It’s not always about Mad Men and Super Bowl commercials. The reality is much more nuanced. How many people have left the business because they weren’t happy—vs figured out what they really wanted, stuck around, and made a difference?

It’s important we don’t lose sight of why we suit up every day and get down to business. Make the jump and see what these folks had to say, then leave us a comment and let us know what YOU love most about marketing.

What I love the most about it, is that it appears sometimes when you don’t expect. For example, when I provided homework help in Australia for scholars, their parents noticed, that I do really well and started to “promote” me between their friends. So, that is how I became a tutor. Just because somebody unexpectedly did a small marketing campaign for me.

Hey @pennielord:disqus great point! There are great examples of effective marketing campaigns all around us and in all channels, even if we don’t initially realize we’re being marketed to. You and the students you work with should check out LeadMD’s sister company Six Bricks. https://www.sixbricks.com
