3 Marketing Heroes I'd Like to Kiss At Midnight

Before we jump in, I’m not trying to upset anyone here. It’s just, from time to time, we are so inspired by our heroes that we develop a little crush. I’ll admit that I might be more susceptible to swoon than most, but that’s why I’m writing “3 Marketing Heroes I’d Like to Kiss At Midnight”. Tis the season for resolutions, champaign, and midnight kisses. Since everyone else is writing about their resolutions of poor habits to break or why marketing is like a glass of champagne (if someone hasn’t, they definitely should), I chose to write about the kissing.

Here are my favorite marketers from 2013.

1. Mark Organ – This guy keeps his hand on the pulse of what’s new, and starts trends in business and marketing. From co-finding Eloqua to his new company Influitive, Mark is unstoppable. Tell me you’re not swooning.

2. Ann Handley – I’m obsessed with creating good, relatable, digestible content, and so is Ann. Plus, she’s hilarious. If you haven’t read her book “Content Rules”, I highly recommend it. If you already have too many books on your long “I-Must-Read-These-Before-2014” list, check out her Annstagram or subscribe to Total Annarchy. This Instagram  alone is enough to add her to my kiss wish list.

3. Every member of the LeadMD staff – (Please don’t let HR see this!) It may sound totally lame for me to give them a shout-out here, but I’m impressed by my peers on a daily basis, and I have to scream from the rooftops about how much I love them. Why are they so impressive? Well, Andrea and her cookie campaign, for one. Did you know Marketo could send cookies to your customers? Neither did I, but she made it happen. Glen’s really sick website design. (If you’re wondering who is responsible for beautiful, it’s Glen.) Not to mention all the crazy-cool things Justin has created in SFDC to make our lives easier here at LeadMD. To all of you, my brilliant peers, here’s one big midnight kiss! *MUAH*

Do you believe I should have added someone to this list? Let me know in the comments below.
