Follow-up: The Most Important Part of Dreamforce

Yesterday, we published a guide to getting the most out of the Dreamforce experience — How Not to Be a Monkey Wrench at Dreamforce.

After it was published, shared, and retweeted several times over, we realized that we’d left out the third of five tips. And, upon reflection, it turns out that we missed the most important key to the Dreamforce experience.

Just what could that be? Here it is in all its glory: Have fun!

Sure, you are at Dreamforce ostensibly for work purposes. But having fun is key to having a great experience, connecting with others, and making your world smaller.

So, with the mea culpa out of the way, here are a few ways you can have fun at Dreamforce:

Find the best parties

Apptus has done something really smart and carved out a niche as the go-to place to find all of the best parties. Check out their party aggregator to make sure you’re not missing out on any places that you should be.

Join the modern Mad Men (and Women)

Tonight, along with Marketo, we’re throwing it back to the Mad Men Era with the Madison Avenue Mixer at Restaurant Lulu. Details can be found here.

Attend the Concert for Kids

Seeing the Foo Fighters with upcoming guitar hero Gary Clark, Jr. is a must-see. In case it’s not already on your list, you can find more information here.

Bonus: One of the biggest highlights to us so far was Uber CEO Travis Kalanick’s Fireside Chat. If you missed out, you can read a great recap of the insights he shared here.
