PHOENIX, Arizona. (November 26, 2012)— Flock of Pixels, a leading creative direction, motion design, and animation company, today announces that the animated video it created together with LeadMD has garnered two Emmy awards. The animated video, entitled Captain LeadMD, has earned this prestigious recognition in the categories of “Graphic Arts and Animation” and “Single Spot – Commercial.” Flock of Pixels is no stranger to being recognized at this high level for its work in animation and video production, as these Emmys are the fourth and fifth the company has received within the past two years.
Captain LeadMD earned these Emmy awards for its presentation of a high level concept, packaged in an appealing animated format that promoted longer viewing times and comprehension for viewers. LeadMD selected Flock of Pixels to create a video that breaks down the often-complex tenets of marketing automation, the service provided by LeadMD. The video accomplishes this goal through using creative animation and a simple allegory. The premise is a marketing executive who needs help engaging and nurturing leads, and is ultimately assisted by a boat captain (the video’s namesake, Captain LeadMD) who guides him through navigating the waters of marketing automation.
“Out of all the videos we’ve put together, we were so energized to enter Captain LeadMD to the Emmy panel because we felt strongly it was a winning piece of work,” says Justin Katz, CCO of Flock of Pixels. “Justin Gray, the CEO of LeadMD, was a great client to work with, but also a great asset to have in the creation of this video, which made the final product a real masterpiece. The differentiator that set this video apart was the way we took confusing and complex material, and transformed it into something fun to watch and easily understandable – showcased through outstanding graphics.”
Captain LeadMD uses a maritime metaphor to explain LeadMD’s important marketing automation features. Campaign building, capturing leads, crafting buyer personas through gathering demographics and psychographics, creating a lead scoring system that measures high value interactions, taking note of buyer engagement and behaviors, and nurturing leads from prospect to customer are all illustrated featured concepts. This successful depiction of the process of marketing automation through use of Marketo and Salesforce.com makes these difficult concepts easy to understand for all levels of marketers.
